About
Interested in sustainability at USU? LOVE talking trash at sports games? Just OBSESSED with recycling and love helping people do it right? Join USU Sustainability and Trash Talk at USU home football and basketball games! Volunteers will receive free game day entry and a free meal + soft drink from Dining Services.
GAME TIME:
20-25 volunteers are needed throughout the game to staff NEW recycling bins in the Maverick Stadium. You'll help fans sort waste and assist FM in monitoring diversion rates in real time. ~3.5 hour commitment.
POST GAME CLEAN UP:
Reach out to caitlin.mclennan@usu.edu to learn more about club volunteer opportunities where you can raise money for your club AND help reduce the over 4 tons of waste sent to the landfill post game day.
We'll meet at tailgating spot 195 before the game (exact time(s) TBD) and volunteers will be trained on site, no experience in waste, sustainability, or recycling required. We'll also have BBQ in it for you to power up pre-game.
After meeting up, volunteers will head into the Stadium and receive stations, where they'll help fans divert waste and utilize our brand new recycling containers.
